Jarak kelahiran adalah bagian dari kesehatan reproduksi. Jarak kelahiran sangat berpengaruh terhadap kondisi ibu dan anak. Jarak kelahiran yang baik adalah 24–60 bulan. Semakin pendek atau semakin jauh jarak kelahiran dapat berisiko terhadap kesehatan ibu dan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor-faktor terpilih terhadap jarak kelahiran. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder hasil Survei Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia (SDKI) 2017. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Wanita Usia Subur, usia 15-49 tahun yang pernah melahirkan dengan minimal 2 anak lahir hidup. Variabel dependen (tidak bebas) penelitian ini adalah jarak kelahiran anak pertama dan kedua yang dikategorikan menjadi ideal (24-60 bulan) dan tidak ideal (<24 bulan) sedangkan jarak >60 bulan tidak dimasukan dalam penelitian ini, serta tujuh variabel bebas yaitu lokasi tempat tinggal, pasangan/ suami bekerja, jenis kelamin anak pertama, pemakaian KB saat lahir anak, tingkat kekayaan atau kesejahteraan, jumlah anak ideal, umur responden ketika melahirkan anak pertama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi logistik biner. Hasil analisis bahwa enam variael bebas mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan (p<0,05) namun hanya variabel lokasi tempat tinggal yang tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan (dengan nilai p>0,05). Jarak kelahiran terkait dengan kesehatan reproduksi dan berperan penting terhadap kondisi kesehatan ibu dan anak yang dilahirkan, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi pembuat kebijakan untuk meningkatkan program kesehatan ibu dan anak.
